I never minded silence before. Surprising how deafeningly loud it is now.

Steal This Book
The most stolen book of all time? Unfortunately, it is not the Bible! It is “Steal This Book” by Abbie Hoffman.
Book sellers had to remove it from shelves because people did just that. They stole the book.
A Bible is a book that is considered an authority on a particular subject. That’s why we have shelves full of books called names like The Gardener’s Bible, The Tattoo Bible or The Baker’s Bible.
What if we labeled The Bible as ‘Be Kind to One Another,’ ‘Hug an Enemy’ or even ‘Grab Onto God and He Will Grab Onto You?’ Would more people want The Good News? Would you?
Many people buy Bibles because they notice the difference in their Christian neighbor, co-worker or friend’s life and they want the same. The best Bible is one that is lived out in our lives.
Prayer- Lord, let our lives be an open book that others can read from cover-to-cover and find You in it. Yours for holy living in Christ! Amen.
The Plate Family Dishes Up
The galley copy of my second children’s book, The Plate Family Dishes Up, arrives today! Lots of surprises in this children’s book! Its about family caring for family. Anne Brolley did the lovely illustrations.
So are you wearing your Ephesians 6 helmet of salvation???
Who’s Who with You?
Sometimes we’ll have to choose between offending people and offending God. – But don’t pick the latter. (Author Unknown)
Are You A Walker?
This guy just doesn’t get it! Jesus has to tell him to (a) get up, (b) pick up his bed and (c) to walk.
Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your bed (sleeping pad) and walk! (John 5:8, AMP)
Let’s ask ourselves this question today. Am I waiting for direction, even when I know what I am supposed to do? In case you forgot… (a) get up, (b) pick up your bed and (c) walk.

When the Loneliness Overwhelms..
Though words may seem so little, I hope, in some small way,
That what I say may ease the pain Of the loss you feel today.
Hold fast to all your memories That you cherish from the past:
The blessings and the laughter, And the sorrows along life’s path.
For these are precious treasures— The GOLD of your yesterdays.
They are memories that only the two of you shared.
Keep them safely stored away. The special moments in your life
That you and your loved one shared
Are ever locked within your heart. And forever, they’ll be there.

Prayer- Father God, thank you for giving us the gold of yesterdays. Amen.
I Call Shotgun by Tommy Newberry and Curt Beavers
I Call Shotgun by Tommy Newberry and Curt Beavers
I don’t often choose ‘man’ books to read but this one appealed to me because of the sub title, Lessons from Dad for navigating the Roads of life.
This book is organized in a short easy-to- read letters to son format. There is information in these 64 letters that would apply to all of us.
The titles include things like Do Courageous Things, Value Your Time, Seek God first Every day, Be Aware of 80/20 thinking and so many more.
Who wouldn’t want to Expect the Best, Act with Intelligence and Cultivate Life Long Integrity? The authors come highly recommended and the book is dedicated to all dads who are committed to raising and influencing high-character young men.
I know they specifically wanted to target young men but honestly this information applies across the board in so many ways. Perhaps there is a sequel for young ladies! Something called “I protect petticoats!”
I got this book from Book Sneeze in exchange for a fair and honest review. I do like the book and will pass it on to other fellows to share with their sons…
