“The world is so hungry for God that God could only come as a piece of bread.
We were so long hungry for joy that God even risked coming into the world in the form of intoxication, that risky thing called wine.” Ghandi

If you get on the wrong train, it does no good to run down the corridor in the opposite direction. (Deitrich Bonhoeffer)
“You rock, Amma,” cried my teen grandchild! I think that was a compliment (wasn’t it?) I hope it didn’t mean stay in a rocking chair. They make me kind of queasy!
Just to be sure I checked it out. A ‘rock’ person is stable, dependable and supportive especially in times of trouble. Now that is something to live up to! However, I’ve learned that the only way I can be that kind of person is to lean on the One and Only Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Prayer- Hear our cries, O God; listen to our prayers. From the ends of the earth we cry to You, especially when our hearts are overwhelmed and fainting. Lead us to the Rock, our shelter and our refuge, our strong tower against the adversary. May we find refuge and trust in the shelter of Your wings. In your name Oh Lord, we rock on in trust! Amen. (From Psalm 61, AMP)
