Perfect Potato Salad

Once again there is a request for my potato salad; and why not. It is potato salad time! Enjoy.

Keys to Brenda’s Potato Salad Success

1/  You must use Kraft Miracle Whip salad dressing.

2/  Make the potato salad 1-2 days before serving.

Ingredients:

Potatoes, peeled, cooked, drained and mashed or cubed

3-4 chopped hard-cooked eggs (save one for garnish)

chopped green onions to taste

salt and pepper to taste

Kraft Miracle Whip salad dressing

paprika

The mix must be rather sloppy because the potatoes keep sucking up the mayo.   If you have it just right at first, it will be too dry after sitting a day or so.

Place mix in a nice bowl, add sliced egg in some pattern or other.  Sprinkle with plain paprika and refrigerate. After it is cooled, cover with plastic wrap till serving.

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”(Genesis 4:7, NIV)

Folks if you don’t add enough Kraft salad dressing you will have sin AND dry potato salad crouching at your door!

Prayer- Lord, it is so simple to follow instructions and get the right recipe. The same is true of life with Christ. Help us do both exactly right. Amen.

Garden Garbage

What did you find in your flower garden and on your lawns, your parks and your villages this year? I bet it was nature’s garbage. Nature’s garbage is a collection of dead leaves, dead flower heads, broken twigs and pinecones.

Nature knows when to get rid of its junk. Do you? Do you have broken lamps, multiple electrical cords with no idea what they are for? Are you hoarding your grown children’s kindergarten pictures in case they want them? (P.S.-They don’t!)

Here is a list of some of the things God considers to be garbage.

-Trying to get your own way all the time

-repetitive, loveless, cheap sex;

-a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage;

-frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness;

-trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness;

-cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants;

-a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives;

-small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival;

-uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions;

-ugly parodies of community.
